Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of Support Buddy data connected to Meta products such as Instagram, Facebook Login, Messenger, or WhatsApp.

1. AUTOMATIC META REQUESTS

If you remove Support Buddy from your Meta account and ask Meta to delete your data, Meta can send our app a signed deletion request. We verify the request, remove stored Meta channel secrets, revoke the matching channel connection in Support Buddy, and return a confirmation code.

2. MANUAL DELETION REQUESTS

You can also email hello@supportbuddyai.com with the subject "Data deletion request". Include the email address on your Support Buddy account, workspace name, and the connected Instagram or Facebook account handle. We will verify account ownership before deleting data.

3. WHAT IS DELETED

  • Stored Meta access tokens and channel secrets.
  • Active Meta channel connections for the matching account.
  • Account or workspace data when a verified owner requests full deletion.

4. WHAT MAY BE RETAINED

We may retain limited records when required for security, fraud prevention, billing, legal compliance, or backup recovery. Retained records are kept only as long as necessary for those purposes.

5. CALLBACK URLS FOR META

For Meta app review, Support Buddy provides a data deletion callback at /api/meta/data-deletion and a deauthorization callback at /api/meta/deauthorize on the production app domain.
